Bruce and Sara as National Park Rangers at
Cape Hatteras National Seashore

July 4, 2006

Just Pictures: The Ospry, Shipwrecks, Cape Lookout, Charlotte, the Conways and the Brittains, and the Schundlers all in uniform!!

Besides the fun and rewarding experiences we have at "work" everyday, we also enjoy our time off---hours after work, our "weekends" (Tuesday and Wednesday), and visits from friends and relatives!

In addition to several hours of free time everyday after work, our "weekends" are Tuesday and Wednesday. It's been interesting getting used to working Thursday through Monday. Our week starts on Thursday when Bruce begins the first of two days being the "lead" Ranger when Mac, the Lead Ranger, is off; then Saturday is a regular work day, Sunday we get to sleep in a little since we don't start work until 9:30 (but don't finish until 6:30 PM), and Monday is for us the last day of our week, our Friday, the day before our weekend. We often ask one another, "What day is today?" And on Monday we say, "It's Friday!" and on Thursdays, we go off to work as though it was Mondays! It's interesting!

Here's some pictures from our evenings and days off!
